Lew-nes, 10, con of John P- I^wnes^ 164 Main street, has reported to the two engine advanced dying school at Altus, Okla.. to begin the last nine weeks of his pilot training. Upon completion of his course he will be awarded the sUvfer wings of an Army Air Force pilot and appointed a flight officer or commissioned a second lieutenant,Lewnes was graduated from Annapolis high school-in 1042. Before he received his cadet appointment last December he was a sub-j stttute teacher for the State Boar of Education.' His brother, Cpl. [•Francis J. Lewnes is in the field artillery anti-aircraft and is stationed at E2 Paso, Tex.While Lewnes is at Altus he will spend 70 hours flying two englned advanced training planes and 70 hours in ground school studying the principles of military aviation. From here he will go on to train with the type of raulti-engtoed aircraft that he will ultimately fly in the war zones. _^
