His friends are congratulating him on his success.WOUNDED IN FRANCE.Rufus Keyes, Former Milwaukee Operator at Algona, Now at Quebec.— Shoulder Shattered By Shell.A letter was received by a friend last week from Rufus Keyes, who several years ago was an operator at the Milwaukee depot. He enlisted in the Canadian army and served in the French trenches. A fragment of a bursting shell shattered one shoulder and after spending several months in a hospital in England, he has returned to Canada, where he holds a position as instructor in the civil service department. For several months nothing was heard from him and his friends feared he had been killed. He receives a pension of $10 a monthfrom the British government.
