Xo. 5 Columbia gauge.Cast on 72 stitches.Knit 2, purl 2 for 4 inches, then knit plain 20 inches.Bind off 20 inches in center for neck.Carry up each side of neck 4 inches —cast 0.1 20 stitches and join 2 sides of neck.Knit 20 inches plain. Rib 4 inches and bind off loosely.Sew up under arm seams to 9 inches cf shoulder.Make 1 row of loose crochet around neck and armholes.Helmet,Materials: one skein Columbia-German knitting yarn, dark gray, medium weight, one pair bone or celluloid needles, Xo. 3. one pair long steel needles, Xo. 12 or 13.With bone needles cast on 100 stitches and rib 2 and 2 for 4 inches.
