The German regiments mentioned are the Eighth Baden infantry regiment No. 169, which was stationed at Lalir in Baden, and the Fourth Prince William’s Baden infantry regiment No. 112, stationed at Muelhausen. The commander of the Twenty-ninth division attached to the Fourteenth army corps, whose headquarters were at Freiburg, is said to have been killed. A German regiment is composed of 3,000 men.
