1SPEECHLEYPvt. Charles W. Speechley, Co. I 2nd Ranger Bn., formerly of 590 Ridge avenue, Berkeley, was killed while in the service of his country on August 31, i944, in France. H is the beloved son of Charles and Kathryn, fond brother of Lorett and Dorothy. His body was return ed to the states this past week am funeral services were held Saturday, August 7, at 10:00 o’clock from the Suburban Funeral Home, Maywood. Requiem mass was at 11:1! at St. Domitilla’s church and interment at Queen of Heaven cemetery Hillside. Military tymors wen conducted by Berkeley Post No 1016, American Legion.The Speechley family wishes Uthank all their neighbors and friend: for their kindness, especially officer Pflaume, who escorted the funeral, the Berkeley American Le-Post 1016. r ho c nducted themilitary honors, and the boys whiacted as pall bearers.
