Oferall, arrived at Camp Shelby from Jackson to do guard duty. The battalion is composed of the Hat-tieshurg, Jackson, Brookhaven and Yazoo City companies.Maj. George H. Weller, quartermaster at Camp Shelby, was advised thata quartermaster's depot of the southern division of the United States army will be opened in Hattiesburg on Aug. 1.
