mmTWO Manitoba members of the Winnipeg1 Grenadiers, one from. St. Boniface and the other from Beausejour, were listed as prisoners of war at Hong Kong in Monday evening’s army casualty announcement from Ottawa.They are:Pte. Emile Van Raes, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs.J. Van Raes, 472 Richot st„ St. Boniface.Pte. Reinhold Juenke, whose father, John Juenke, lives at Beausejour, Man.• Two other Winnipeg Grenadiers listed as prisoners are:Pte. Stewart Ganton, whose next-of-kin is his wife, Mrs. Cora Ethel Ganton of Prince George, B.C.Pte. Theodore Schultz, whose father lives at Langham, Sask.Also on the prisoner list is Nursing Sister Anna May Waters,%Winnipeg, news of whose capture was given in The Tribune Monday.Pte. Van Raes was born in St.^----Boniface and attended Provencher school and, shortly after matriculating, joined the Winnipeg Grenadiers in 1938.Having taken a course in signalling while at school, Pte. Van Raes entered the regiment as a signaller.He spent 15 months with the Grenadiers in Jamaica and returned with them last fall to, Winnipeg.Before leaving for Hong Kong, he was married here and his wife is at present visiting friends in Helena, Mont.Living at home with his parents are a brother, Rene, and three sisters, Cecile, Mary-Paule, and Louise.Pte.
