VISITING IN GERMANY.Relatives Fear Grocer Dames May BePressed Into Service.Relatives of Albert Dames, Monmouthstreet grocer, fear for the safety of Mr.Dames, who at present is in Germany. He left Newport two months ago to visit relatives in the German interior, and his wife and children in this city have received no word from him for some time. He may be compelled to take up arms for the Fatherland.Mr. Dames has been engaged in the grocery business in this city for more than a quarter of a century and is oneof the best-known business men in Newport.
