NAZI GHETTO—These pictures are the first released by Berlin since'the start of the war showing how Jews are confined in ghettos in Poland. The caption simply described the ghetto as being in the •'east,’’ but it probably is in Warsaw. The top photo shows a German officer examining a bundle at a street barrier because constant control of the Jewish market checks smuggling which is still very much in favor. Jews, identified by armbands, clean the ghetto streets, lower photo, because “one of the rrs«n ta !cs of the German police is to uphold order and cleanliness iii the ghetto.
