Swastikas.The swastikas appeared in the' north Bavarian towns of Gemuen-den and Rieneck, where campaign posters of democratic parties weretorn down.A curfew for the towns was proposed by military government officers, who said they feared I “there might be trouble.” No arrests were reported.Gemuenden and Rieneck contain unusually large numbers of Nazis, possibly owing to the influence of the former ardei t Nazi gauleiter of Wuerzburg, who used to hunt in that area.
