WEDDED LIFE PASSES FIFTIETH MILESTONEFrom Our Speoiai Correspondent 'LIVERMORE, Iowa, April 22— Mr, and Mrs, Fred Baessler, residents of Livermore for half a eanttury, passed the fiftieth milestone of their wedded life, Sunday, April 19. The anniversary was celebrated with a dinner at the Baessler home and the traditional wedding cake of three layers was decorated in orange and gold andbore the date of the wedding, Mr.and Mrs, Baessler were married at Lotts Creek, near Algona, Twenty-two relatives of the aged couple were present at ‘the anniversary dinner among them being eight of their nine children. Their children are: Mrs, Emma Leaning of Sioux City; Mrs. Minnie Slezak of New Hampton, Mrs, Cora HarriB and Sylvia of Lob Angeles; Mrs. Lena Dough ton of Clarion; Mrs. Lulu BarryhiU of Kamrar; Mrs. Ida McKenna, Carl and Frank all of Livermore. Mrs. Bfarris of Los Angeles was the only one unable to be present. Mrs. .Sophie Ernst, of Humboldt, who is a sister of Mr, Baessler, and Mrs, Ernst's daughter, Esther, and Miss Cora Dunn of San Francfaco were also In attendance.Mr. and Mrs. Baessler have Hved in Livermore their entire married life. Mr. Baessler who was born at Stuttgart, Germany, in 1852, came directly to Livermore in 1872 and received his entire Engtish education at the Barry school east of Livermore. Mrs. Baessler was born at Watertown, Wisconsin in 1862. Following their marriage at Lotts Creek fifty years ago, the couple settled on a farm five miles southeast of Livermore where they continued to live until Mr. Baessler retired in 1915. Since that time, Mr. and Mrs. Baessler have Hved in Livermore. . They are the parents of nine children and the grand-J parents; nf eight grand children. '■
