Providence Soldier Killed on LuzonPvt. Leroy F. Larsen, 19, son of Mrs. Rebecca Spring Larsen, Providence, Cache county, was killed April 2 serving with an infantry unit on Luzon.He was born May 5, 1925, in Providence, a son of Alma and P.ebecca Spring Larsen and attended South Cache high school. After his father's death he cared for 'he family farm before entering the service Aug. S, 1944. Pvt. Larsen, an LDS church member, went overseas after a Christmasfurlough.Survivors include his mother, two brothers, Ariel Larsen. Logan, and Raymond Larsen, Providence, and four sisters, Mrs. Venice pnwr.s and Mrs. Ella Sorenson.
