K. church at Center Fridayevening- in honor of Miss Bird a Hun?, who served as n nurse overseas, and the young meji of the ehu-jh who have been released from the service-A large company of friends and relatives of the finest.’? of honor gathered to extend them the glad hand of \ve3-Rev. Valentine, pastor of th* church, gilt;\lt;j uu address of welcome, readings were given by .Mrs. Hull and Madeline Vandenbark, Mias Btrda Hunt told of her work whit a b;j*e hospital unit In France and later wit.li the army of occupation in Germany, Misses Wilma Lhmcan and Mary Miller were heard In pleasing vocal solos and Bryan Wooldridge, a ' returned soldier, spoke uf hfs service overseas. Following the program the 1 guests were invited to Urn dining room lt;where refreshments of pic. cake andcoffee wi:tc served.
