Smitlificld GI Receives MedalSfc. Roy F. Kingan has been awarded (he Army Commendation Medal while serving with the 297th Transportation Company near Nha Trang, Vietnam.His wife, Martha, resides in Smithfield, and his father is Thomas \V. Kingan of Smithfield R. D. 1.The medal award was for meritorious service as a supply sergeant in the company. Sfc. Kingan has been in Vietnam since September 11167.
