PVT. FLOYD BREAL JR., 19, whowas wounded in action with the Marines on Iwo Jima, has returned to this country, according to a message received by his mother, Mrs. Ethel Breal of Biloxi. Pvt.Breal, who entered service March 21, 1944, received his basic training at Paris Island, SC. Following further training at Camp Le-Jeune, NC, he was sent to the Pacific in August, 1944, as a member of the mortar company of theFourth Marine division, whichmade many trips to the front lines transporting food and ammunition. Performing these duties i .quired passage through a rocky pass on the island and across Radar hillat all time a target for Jap mortarand snipers. Pvt. Breal attended Biloxi High School, where he was an outstanding athlete. Ho won letters for dwo years in football and basketball, ws selected as a member of the Big 8 basketball team in 1944, and was an officerof the Biloxi B club.
