IjCapt. “Dick” Casey Killed in BurmaA former Coe College student, Capfc. Patrick B. ''Dick Casey, ex-'42, was killed in action in Burma Mar. 5, according to a telegram received from the war department by an aunt in Iowa City. He was 29 years of age. I He enrolled as a sophomore transfer student at Coe in 1939.I Captain Casey was a graduate of Franklin high school here. He was drafted in February, 1942, and was sent to Fort Leonard Wood. Mo. Later he was graduated from officer candidate school at Fort Belvoir, Va.
