A. ranchhave just boon received.The first information la BufFalo of the in* tended invasion by iho cattlemen was a letter received from Douglas by Sheriff Angus of Johnson county, saving that a special train of armed and mounted men had passed through Douglas, unloading at Casper.The information was soon circulated among the rustlers and small cattlemen, but they had little time to prepare to defend j themselves, for the invaders arrived soon ' after, and at once attacked what is known j as th • K. C- ranch, in which men suspected of being rustlers were living.Early on the morning of April 10 a ranchman named Smithy, living on the north fork of Powder river,-heard firing at that ranch.He rode rapidly in that direction, and discovered that the invading cattlemen had j the house surrounded, and that a desperate fight was going on between them and the inmates.
