Rinaldo Kimmell, formerly of Co. E, 21st O. V. V. I. died since our last correspondence. He enlisted in August 1861, and was taken prisoner at Chicamauga, and was confined in An-dersonville prison until the close of the war. He escaped twice but was recaptured with blood hounds, and on one occasion he was bucked and gaerged for a long time. He was one of four out of seventeen of his company taken prisoner, who lived to get home, the others having been starved to death, except I. Donafin, of Hicks-ville, his partner on the ill-fated Sultana. who was never heardjrom. Mr. K. floated down the Missouri eight miles, when he was picked up unconscious. Of late he has been a great sufferer. He was a man of more than ordiuarv intelligence, and was for several years chairman of Farmer township Republican committee, and was at the time of his death one of the townshiptrustees.
