R: Jimenez.At the meeting tonight plans for making the occasion one of the grandest ever carried out in this sec* tion. and for bringing out all the American people, will be discussed. It is intended to impress upon the people the fact that the parade will be a “marching” procession and not an automobile or buggy ride through the streets, and for this reason no automobiles or vehicles will be permitted to form in line. Other cities have tabooed vehicles and autos in loyalty day processions, and Laredo will follow suit” in this matter.At the meeting of the committee tonight the matter of appointing a grand marshal and assistants for the monster parade will be taken up and the necessary appointments made.All organisations In Laredo, including the city, county and district officers, civic organizations, organized union societies, church and school organizations, patriotic organizations and all others who are proud of Old Glory and the fact that they live in “the land of the free and the homo of the brave” are urged to arrange for participation In the big loyally day parade on the afternoon of April 19.
