Grand Master Woods in his letter to the chief executive of ! the nation, says that he speaks for fourteen thousand negroes who are I members of more than six hundred Masonic lodges in Alabama.Patriotic exercises were held Friday afternoon by ail grades of the A. F. Owens’ Colored School. W, A. Caldwell, principal, with permission of County School Superintendent S. H. Murphy. Teachers and pupils renewed their loyalty to the “Star Spangled Banner,** and enlisted in the service of Uncle Sam by enrolling as members of the State Food Products Lsa- igue, which requires each member to'Cultivate: a home .garden.
