Former Villager Killed in GermanyPvt. Robert Sinclair Cuther-bertson, Jr., of the infantry, who was reported missing in action in Germany on February 9, is now reported killed in action on that date according to a telegram received on March 27.Pvt. Cuthbertson was the husband of Glend Q. Cuthbertson and the father of 3-year-old Sandra of Maywood. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Cuthbertson of Maywood who are former Oak Park residents and the grandson of the late R. R. Cuthbertson, a trustee on the first village board.As a mortar man of the 8th regiment, Pvt. Cuthbertson had been in action but a short time when he lost his life. He attended Oak Park high school and was a graduate of Proviso high school, 1937. He was an employee of the Chicago Metal Hose corporation and a member of Plymouth Congregational church in Maywood. After completing his military training at Camp Bland-ing, Florida, he was sent overseas after a short furlough at home. He was ir Luxemburg on his twenty-filth birthday, just one month before his death.
