Aristides Demetrios (right), overseas the welding of the complex structure commissioned by the Navy’s Corregidor-Bataan Memorial Commission. With 92 long tubes such as these that form part of the base, the welding procedure requires a fast, semi-automatic welder to speed the job. The equipment is a metal inert gas welder which Westinghouse manufa ctures at its Svkesville plant in Carroll County
