ALLEN BROTHERS POSTINDORSE MORGAN BILLAt the recent general meeting of the Allen Brothers ’ Poat held in the District court room of this city, a discussion of the various bonus and compensation bills wus made. Objection was made to the proposed cash bonus bill which provided a bonus of $1 per day for men who served in the army during the great war. This bill was recently proposed by the American Legion legislative body at Washington, and resulting in general statements of the financial burden the country would have to carry in order to pay this cash bonus. The Morgan bill, which in effect provides for the organization and perfection of a loan company, national in scope, that would loan funds to ex-soldiers 10 purchase property or to improve properly now owned' by these men, was heartily indorsed. A committee composed of C. M. Mullican/S. Lester Guinn and W. M. Slagle wits appointed to draft appropriate resolutions of indorsement of the Morgan hill or n bill similar to that.The question of military training was briefly discussed at the meetingand resulted in showing some dissent to certain plans that had been presented for consideration toward universal military training.
