Apac he Tribe made another gigantic step forward in its pursuit of the South-west's exploding recreation business with the opening of its brand new 106-room Sunrise Park Hotel.Last weekend, Tribal Chairman Fred Banashley and the Tribal Council were hosted on an inspection tour of Sunrise Park Hotel by General Manager George Petri. The facility won the unanimous approval of the Council.Mary Riley, who represents three reservation districts on the Tribal Council, has been one of the dedicated planners and supporters of economic development of the White Mountain Apache Tribe. She viewed the opening of Sunrise Park Hotel as the realization of a dream.The tri-level modern holel compares with the best in Phoenix, Tucson, or Scottsdale. Faculties include lining room, coffee shop, cocktail lounge, sauna, reception lobby and a large central lobby.For entertainment, a superb, specially engineered sound system provides stereo discotheque turntables and speaker system, background music system, or amplification for live music. Dancing can be accomodated in either the cocktail lounge or dining rdom.Toby Payne of Stage Sound. Inc. engineered ‘ the sound system and considers it one of his finest installations.Twd meeting rooms off the central lobby are designed to accomodate conferences and small conventions.Rooms are tastefully furnished, carpeted, and showers with baths, and sun lamps.
