WREN Statue Looks At GaltGALT. Ont. (CP) — Jenny the WREN, the last to the long line of naval service girls, stands five feet in green bronze and stares out over downtown Galt today.The statue was unveiled at public ceremonies Sunday by Toronto sculptress Frances Gage, herself a WREN, and Isabel Macneill, long-tame commander of HMCS ConestOg*.During the Second World War more than 6,000 young women from across Canada poured into Galt for their basic training at Conestoga.On Sunday nearly 600 of these veterans witnessed the un* veiling.
