Me., June 19.—To Mrs. Mabel Bacon, wife of Henry Douglas Bacon of this city, will belong the distinction of being the only woman who has ever engaged in a power boat race from New York to Bermuda, starting at New York on July 9. She will go as one of the crew of the new cabin cruiser Yo-Ho, built for Frank Page Bacon of Los Angeles, Cal., father-in-law of Mrs. Bacon, and she willtake her regular turn at the wheel with the other members of the crew of three.The Yo-Ho measures 46 f*et 6 inches long and 10 feet beam. She is propelled by two 14 horse power engines, has two steering gears, one on the bridge deck forward and another a^t to to used incase of accident, while a reserve tiller will also be carried on board for use in case of accident to the other two wheela When Mrs. Bacon was a,8,k,ecd ,f 8h®feared the trip 6he replied.
