A physically disabled columnist for the Toronto Sun has been honored for helping the disabled achieve rewarding lifestyles.Mona Winberg, writer of the Disabled Today column in the Sunday Sun, was named recipient of the King Clancy Award by the Canadian Foundation for Physically Disabled Persons.She’ll receive her award Feb. 12 at the foundation’s Fourth Great Valentine Gala, starring Bob HopeWinberg. who has cerebral palsy, began her column with The Sun in November 1986.“We are all moved by what she has done with her column.” said Vim Kockhar, honorary chairman of the gala.Other recipients of this year’s King Clancy Award are disabled sports promoter I)r. Robert Jackson and disabled rights activist Beryl Potter.
