Kiwaniqueens Entertained At ChiloccoMembers of the Kiwams club entertained the Kiwaniqueens and other guests at a ladies night dinner Wednesday at Chilocco. The dinner was served in the school cafeteria. The program, announced by Supt. W. Keith Kelley was by the Chilocco students under the direction of Miss Flodellc Dyer. vo-cal music department; Wilfred Stocks, instrumental .music; and Mrs. Edward Wapp, Indian dramatic department.The girls* quartet, accompanied by Miss Dyer, sang two numbers “Lovely Night and “Sleepv Lagoon. Members are Ramona Williams. Betty Thomas, Della Mae Whitekiller and Thelma Ross.Miss Walella Bradley, soloist, sang Pale Moon as Miss Milicent Malaiioncy, attired in authentic Indian costume, presented it in sign language.A brass quartet, composed of two girls and two boys, played the spiritual Deep River. Members arc Ula Mae Feeling, Marion Bruner. James Squirrel and Gary Waldon.The girls* sextet, with the members attired in colorful squaw dresses sang three peppy numbers Autumn Leaves.*' Love and Marriage.” and The Lilac Tree. Members of the sextet, also accompan-Dyer, are WalellaBradley, Lahoma Ned. GloriaTulsa. Jeanette Ross. Merrill Ludlow and Nancy Tyner.The program was concluded withcolorful dances. F. Heagy and her staff, all of whom were introduced.Wendell Perks, president, was in charge of the session and introduced the guests who included Mr. and Mr*. Tom Gillock, James Sow-den. Miss Lines Shirley of Topeka. Mrs. Nelle Juneman, Mrs. A. H. Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Ndble Wing. Mrs. Tassie Coker, Mrs. George Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Ware. Mrs. Clifford Paris, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Wall and Mr. and Mrs. W. Keith Kelley. Lt. Gove and Mrs. Van” VanHorn of Wichita were special guests.G orge Gardner was in charge of the distribution of door prizes to Kiwaniqueens and guests, assisted by Edgar Hinshaw.A. E. Maag was master of ceremonies. and also led group singing.The room was decorated in the Washington birthday theme, with large white trees, fashioned from branches, containing red cherries, blue hatchets and gray bows. Standing blue stars dotted the tables w hile the tables were centeredwith floral bouquets of gladioli, the speakers table containing a styrofoam head of Washington.
