Wlien it aE begaiiTHE HANOVER Co-operative Credit Union has grown from being a small community savings club in Lucea, into one of the parish’s major financial institutions.“It all stiirted m early 1975 when between six and ten of us met to start a little savings-club for the 1975 Chnstmas season,” said retired schixl principal, and founder of the Hanover C(Hperative Credit Union Mrs Emid Giinsalves, who is fondly known throughout Hanover as Miss Enid.“I was not thinking of foniiing a credit ixnion at the time. Just about six oi us met and decided that we would have a little savings for that Christmas (1975). We started verv little, with ten and twenty cents.
