Also, the Red Wing cheerleaders (30), under the fine leadership of ‘Mrs. Reno Lovato, of 11518 Wentworth and Mrs. Kenneth Dillman of 22 W. 114th street,’ were doing an excellent job of cheering the boys on to a vicotry!painfully. The Red Wings offense was driven back for a safety, to give St. Jude the lead 2-0. Mark Lewkowskimade a fine reception of a yard pass but immediately brought down by St. Jude; defense.John Bednarczyk tried tobreak through and picked-up a6-yard gain. Alter the punt, Camadecca recovered a St. Jude fumble.A few plays later, St. Jude came-up with some mightybig boys, they forcefullyscored a touchdown beforeThey held St. Jude scoreless half-time. The Red Wings kicked off and Pat Sheeran dropped St. Jude for a5-vard loss.was off to the side, but despite that, St. Jude took an 8-0 lead.During the second half! the game became one-sided. St. Jude ran for T-D on a 52-yardThe second quarter started punt return. This time the twopoint conversion kick was good and the score became 16-0 in their favor.Dan Horvath, Paul Beemsterboer and Mike Hebda all made some fine tackles during the third quarter. Dan Horvath ran for an 8-yard gain on a double reverse from scrimmage.In the last quarter St. Jude put some king on the cake with another touchdown, this time a 20-yard pass, to make the score 22-0.Next week St. Nicholas Red Wings look forward to their first seasonal win.
