WOMEN'S LEAGUEMae McGrath was elected president of the Pascagoula Women’s Bowling League at an organizational meeting Monday evening at Recreational Center.Other officers are Barbara Zer-kus, secretary; Gladys Bassett, treasurer, and Betty Doescher, publicity.Bowling will start Monday at 7:30 p. m.. Mrs. McGrath announced. All feminine bowlers interested. in league play are invited to the meeting Monday when teams will be organized.The women's league is a member of the recently organized association and eligible for ABC membership, officials said.MEN S LEAGUEW. They are City Lumber, Calhoun’s Service Station, Elks 40 Si 8, American Legion, PG Mills and Brumfield’s.Team entry fees must be in before Oct. 10.The league will be ABC sanctioned. A few openings are left on some 6f the teams. Prospectiveplayers should see Buster Bosarge at the Center.The alleys are open from 2 p. m. to 11 p. m. daily.St. Martin Team Begins Season With Lyman FiveBy Delores Parker (Chronicle Correspondent)The St. Martin basketball team will play its first game of thenew season Oct. 13 when they meet the highly-rated Lyman team.Practice for the locals started Wednesday. The new coach, C. Bilbo, was greeted by only one returning letterman, Wilmer Seymour, guard. Good prospects are available, however, from among last year’s reserves.The girls’ team has six returning first stringers. They are Marietta Morns, Arie Fountain, Rosalie Terretta, Delores Parser, Loraine Davis and Bobby Ann Bullock.The girls also have a new coach, Mrs. Laura Gibson.The U. S.
