Fans Planning Surprise For BarnhartHagerstown’s Lone Representative In World Series To Re Remembered By Fans.According to plans under way Clyde Barnhart, Hagerstown's first representative in a world series will net be forgotten. A collection is being taken for the purpose of purchasing a suitable gift to present to Barney during the first game played in Washington on Friday, October 9.Contributions to the Barnhart fund can be turned over to any of the following committee who are working on the plan: George B. Alexander, HenryC. Triesler, Roy A. Leiter, Dr. C. O. Diehl and C. II. Splgler. It Is likely that President J. Vincent Jamison, of the Blue Ridge League will be asked to make the presentation.Plans call for the purchase of a watch with a suitable inscription en graved in the back of the case. Fans of this city are being asked to contrlb ute a dollar, but no contribution how small or how large will bo turned down.
