House of David Defeats OdessaSpecial to Hcrald-Post ODESSA, Texas, Sept. 2$.—Playing before one of the largest crowdscf the season/the House of David ball club defeated an a 11 star club of Odessa by the close score of 8-4. Hie Davids who are used to winning their games by several^ dozens runs margins, found - a . stiff opponent today. Except for a wild second -inning, when the Davids scored'five runs, after, two were out, on a mixed assortment of errors, hits- and bonelieads, the game was nip and tuck: A heavy rain inOdessa- caused the game to be played on the Midland diamond.The hitting stars of the day were Tally, Tucker, Hansen, Day, EStes and Harris.
