CARDS GO HOME TO PREP FOR A’SRed Birds Getting Ready By Ratting AgainstGiants’ Ace.ST. LOUIS, Sept. 28—lt;**—'The National league champion Cardinals returned home today to start tuning up for the Philadelphia Athletics, their world aeries opponents for the second straight year. The business of preparing for the series will be interrupted long enough tomorrow for a “victory parade in honor of the team.O r o v e r Cleveland Alexander,Cardinal hero of the 1926 world series, has been invited to ride in the parade, and the three bands which will take part have been asked to play “Alexander's Ragtime Band in honor of the once great pitcher, now a manager of the bearded House of David team.By defeating the Cincinnati Reds twice yesterday, the Cardinals brought their season’s victories to 101. a feat unduplicated in the National league since 1913. The Giants in 1913 won 101 game and in 1912they won 103.
