Soon Alexander was barnstorming through the provinces, cashing in as best he could on his name.That, at least, is still worth something. One of the chief inducements held out to customers by tha House of David outfit is Grover Cleveland Alexander, none other— I a ghost of one of baseball's great, f put on exhibition for the crowd.Yet old Pete, manager of the squad, is set apart from his teammates. as befits a man with a proud history. His unique contract provides, among other things, an al-lowanoe of 25 cents daily for a shave.
