He mad*1 the first X rav pictures in Jefferson county, performed the first appendectomy and introduced organotherapy inthe county.He was also surgeon for the C B A: q and C R. I Ar P railroads for 30 years. He retired frompractice in 1911 after 52 yearsDr Clarke married Melinda Clapp Oc tober 13, 1801 The Clarke horn*1 was at 500 South Main Dr Clarke died on April 12. HM2 and his wife followed him in death on' 1946.
