F, Home Lynx football clubs staged a typical fighting game in their opening district 27-B conference clash on Garitty field Thrsdax |' night and when the sitiMe of battle htfd cleared away, neither team had ^ scored although the Odd Fellfcti had had the better of the argrHptgtj and nothing but the nover-say-dye spirit of the Lads had kept unsullied their goal lino. The game ended with the Odd Fellows In possession of the hall on the State Home 5-yard lino, and Incidentally, only a tew minutes before, the. Odd Fellows had gone to the one-yard line only to be repulsed.It was a tingling, sensational combat, with fighting boys who were giving their all in a supreme effort to win against their traditional rivals and start with a victory In their quest of the. district championship.Clean Game.The game Thursday nigh was the cleanest football game the writer has ever seen between these two aggregations. No penalties for unnecessary roughness were assessed.
