This gentleman being lately at Scarborough, was charged with some unfair play—only a little jeu de main at cards—and thought to vindicate himself, by sending a message to his accuser. The challenge was accepted, and when the parties were on the ground a discovery took place, which prevented all fatal consequences—-for the second of the accuser immediately recognized in Mons.
