Later in the quarter, Chris Miller attempted a field goal for Northeast Lauderdale from the NE Jones’s twenty yard line, but the ball failed to make it between the crossbars. The score at the end of the first quarter was Northeast Jones 0 NE Lauderdale 0.and was nailed on his own 25-yard line by Jeff Barnacastle for Northeast Lauderdale. Johnny M c C o r m i c k intercepted a Northeast Lauderdale pass intended for Larry Brown from Paul Harris.
