Wasn't It Awful Mabel?I3The Salem Shamrocks went to French Lick, Sunday and crossed bats with the Plutos of that place. It was surely an off day for the Shamrocks. They could not hit the ball, stop it, or pick it up when they did stop it. In fact, it was the bumest game they have played this season.When the colored boys got through with them, and it only took one hour and ten minutes to do so, the score stood 9 to 0 against our boyB.Cook and Newlon did the pitching and Bellows and Marsh caught the game. Bellows got his band hurt in the fourth inning and had to take the bench.There is no use for our boys trying to play ball with fast company unless they practice. The week before the game at' Bedford, Salem had two good games and had good practice. The result was the bo^j played ball.
