Commission Assigns Priority To ParkDevelopment of Lucchesi Park got top priority last night from the Petaluma Recreation Music and Parks Commission.Recreation Director James R. Raymond said the commission agreed that the 33-acre park on Maria Drive be developed before any spending on Schollenberger River Park adjacent to tne city boat launching ramp.Raymond said the commission recommended the 2-year-old master plan for Lucchesi be resurrected and developed in three phases. The first phase would be tennis courts and athletic facilities, followed by a turf area in phase two, and parking lots and buildings in phase three including restrooms and a senior citizens center. Total cost of the entire park has been estimated at $1.2million.Representatives of the Petaluma Valley Homeowners Association also urged that Lucchesi Park get top priority and said it would be more beneficial to the city than Shollenberger Park.The commissions said that work on Mi wok Valley Neighborhood Park on St. Francis Drive should also move ahead before the river park.Raymond said the commission adjourned to Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m. to prepare a priority list of all park development as well as a five year capital outlay program.Israelis 'Have No Travel Fear'YELLOWSTONE PARK.Wvo.
