An Entertaining Game.Most of the baseball fans who saw the Kansas City Monarchs defeat the House of David, 4 to 1, here Wednesday were well satisfied with the game although neither team bore down at all times. Had the colored boys worked ♦ harder all the way through, they probably could have won by a bigger margin.The game may or may not prove that Winona fans will turn out for good baseball. The crowd was by far the largest of the season and yet I'm willing to wager that at least 50 per cent of the fans were from out of town.But a game such r that between the Monarchs and Davids, despite the fact that the fans didn’t care particularly which team won, showed that the national pastime still can hold the interest of the public.
