THE NATIONAL GAME.'New Albany Base Ball Assort ;t Hon and Park, and New Albany Browns Base Ball Club.New Albany believes in amusements as well as in her big building boom anil wonderful material progress. While the city has a splendid Opera House and several fine Halls for amusements in the theatrical, concert and opera line, it also has a Base Ball Association, a first class Base Ball Club, and a splendid and very large Base Ball Park. This Park is just being completed. It has a tight fence surrounding it that is ten feet six inches in height, and the park is being supplied with a first class Brand Stand. There will be abundant seatings in addition to the Brand Stand.The officers of the New Albany Base Ball Association are: President, K. B. Henry; Vice President. 11. B. They have played some of the best amateur clubs in Indiana and Kentucky. These tacts speak well as to the quality of the New Albany Browns.The New Albany Base Ball Park will be formally opened September 29th, with proper ceremony, including bands of music, a procession and games between noted clubs. The Association look Reward to this grand opening with no little enthusiasm. There will be large delegations present from Louisville, Jeffersonville. and all the neighboring towns in Indiana. K very body is invited to this big Base Ball demonstration.
