Taconic played an independent schedule last year, the first in the school’s existence. Hoosac Valley opened this year and replaces Adams High. Pittsfield High and Hudson (N Y ) High will play at 7:30.In other Class A openerstoday at 1:30 St. Joseph’s High will play Northampton High at Northampton and Waheonah Regional will face Monument Mountain Regional of Great Barrington at Dalton. Monument Mountain also is a newmember of the conference after playing independent footballduring its first years Drury High has a conference bye but will meet Mt. Anthony High of Bennington at North Adams.I.oe High and Mt. GreylockRegional of Williamstown, Berkshire’s two Intercounty League teams, will open with Frontier Regional High of South Deerfield and Amherst Regional respectively. Mt. Greylock and Amherst will start at 10:30 this morning at Amherst.
