House Of David .Meets Millards In Lame TonightIn what undoubtedly will be one of the best all-around shows of the current baseball season, the House of David team will clash with the Millard All-Stars under the portable lights at 8:15 tonight. The Millard management is pre-i paring for the biggest attendance i of the year.As a premier atti action, the famous girl athlete, Mildred (Babe) Didrikson. is booked to pitch at least one inning against the All-Stars The Babe, who was the sensation of the Los Angeles Olympic games, has been with the House of David nine all season, adding to her reputation for versatility.Jealous of one of the greatest records of any touring ball club, this eastern group of Davidites , will put a strong lineup on the field in an effort to whip the home club. Whilp Babe will do some pitching Manager Earl Smith will place most of his reliance on one of a select mound staff, including Laufer, Benson. Walsh and Stokes,Manager Verne McCune of Millards, recognizing the prestige a victory would give his All-Stars, is expected to send Larry Irvin, his southpaw ace, to the mound Irvin was in fine fettle Sunday in a four-inning job against the strong Bonaparte Indians, whom he stopped without a hit, and local fans wouldn't be any too surprised at a victory over the Beards,The probable lineups:Hitiw of David.— Millard'*—Williams, 2b.
