Strip Gains In Loop RaceElectrics Beaten 1-0 in Weirton League TiltStrip Steel climbed back to only one half game behind the league leading Mechanical Department in the tight Weirton Steel league second half race Tuesday, with a 1-0 victory over Electrical Department at Weir-Cove field. However, a win for the Mechanics over the Electricians today would give them thesecond half championship and the loop crown for the third straight year.Yesterday’s game was a pitcher’s battle with Prank Stokosky throwing a three-hitter for the Strip club and Cliff Stout pitching four-hit ball for the losers.
