Mihe Gibbons to Quit.St. Paul, Minn., September 16.— Michael Gibbons, especially well upholstered with that commodity that makes the mare go, today announced that he will retire from boxing in about twelve months. His pecuniary, if not clearly fistic victory at Brighton Beach, coupled with others of the same caliber, jhave run Mike’s bank account into very comfortable figures, and he is willing to peel off his gloves for the laBt time, he says. Gibbons later announced that following his retirement he would punch the bugs off potato vines on his farm near Osakis, Minn.
