Wrestling for the 1946 47 season in Kenosha makes its bow at the Union Club on Sept, 26, with a new promoter in charge of activities. He is Walter Pozer of Lake Villa, 111., who will be aided by Jack Conway of the same community.Pozer, who spent 39 months in the navy and was a chief officer at Great Lakes, plans to bring talent here from the Fred Kohler stables in Chicago, insuring fans of the top-flight mat-men of the game. Conway, with 33 months overseas in the army, was a sergeant.They plan to conduct cards the second and fourth Thursday nights each month. In the windup for the first show, Walter Palmer, world’s heavyweightchampion, will be featured. His opponent will be named later. The two other bouts, at one fallwith 45 and 30 minute time limits, will have John Silvy andBilly Goelz in action against foesto be picked shortly, Pozer announced.IThe new promoters announced that Kohler, the middlewest’s wrestling maestro, has promised to furnish all the headliners at his command. They also plan to add bleachers to the Union club offering additional seating accommodations.
