Davids Defeat Troubadours In | Wight Ball TikShutting out the La Crosse Troubadours with only three scratch hits, the House of David traveling baseball club crushed the locals 7 to 0, in a game called after seven innings and played under floodlights at Tronick park Sunday evening. The bearded boys won. 3 to 0. in an abbreviated donkeyball clash.Babe Didrikson. the world’* great-i est woman athlete, elbowed the initial stanza for the invaders. She j gave up but one blow. Pie Traynor, brother of the Pittsburgh manager, was safe on a fielder's choice as Schroeder pegged the ball to the plate trying to get Williams. Catcher McKenzie let the. pellet slip by. and Williams and Moulder counted. Lefty Baker replaced Hink Bauch on the mound for La Crosse. Oil Smith wae out but Jacobs doubled again to score Traynor and came in himself on Lucas’ single. McDougal skied to end the inning.
