Shiprock Blasts Kayenta Club 40-0SHIPROCK - The Shiprock Chiefs blasted Monument Valley High School of Kayenta, Aril., 40-0 Friday to record its second win of the season and equal its victory output of the past two years combined.Senior end Jim Hamilton scored three touchdowns, kicked a pair of extra points and ran for two more extras as second year coach Ron Graham's crew dominated the game from start to finish.Paul Fabian got the first Shiprock touchdown on a five yard run in the first first period and Hamilton kicked the extra point.In the second quarter Hamilton took a 40 yard scoring pass from Mike Aspaas then gain converted. HamiltonIgnacio Zips Mission 32-0IGNACIO - Brady Ross, junior quarterback for Ignacio, passed for one touchdown and scored two others on runs of three and 40 yards, and passed for three two-point conversions to lead the Bobcats to a 32-0 win over Navajo Mission Friday.Ross opened the scoring with an eight yard pass to Dirk Ross in the second period with about a minute left in the half. Ross added two more in the third period on a 40 yard run and a three yard run. Hamilton turned apparent disaster on the extra point attempt into two points when he picked up the football and ran it iotoh the goal making the score 34-0.The scoring was completed in the fourth period when Aspaas hit Hamilton with a six yard TD pass.Lucas ran far 155 yards on the ground in 14 carries and Fabian added 44 yards. Aspaas connected on seven out of nine pass attempts for 73 yards.
